California-based tech firm Kespry provides drones to various industries , including mining and construction , emphasising data collection and analysis as the key elements of the services it delivers . The company claims it has reduced the labour costs associated with data collection by 84 % with the drones it has deployed , while improving the accuracy of the data collected , used in the planning and construction of mines , by 80 %. Its drones can also be used for inventory management , to measure stockpiles and collect volumetric and topographic data for an entire mine site during ongoing operations .
