The coming year will see work continuing at Kharmagtai to understand the depth and potential of that system . At the same time exploration will continue at Oyut Ulaan , while Sharchuluut Uul , he confidently hopes , will emerge as a major new district in the north of the country .
The demand for copper from Japan , China and Russia , with ready logistical access to all of these markets , boosted by the global thirst for gold , will make Xanadu Mines a tempting target for the majors , though he does not by any means rule out the possibility that the company might build its own mines either alone or in partnership .
