Anglo American’ s CEO Duncan Wanblad will be appointed as the new CEO of copper-focused miner Anglo Teck. Duncan’ s appointment will take effect once the proposed merger between Anglo American and Teck Resources receives regulatory approval. The combined company is expected to become one of the top five copper producers by volume, with some of the highest quality copper assets.

Brandon Craig took office as CEO of BHP in July 2026. Brandon is an experienced senior leader with over 25 years of experience at BHP with experience in engineering, marketing and operational management roles in copper, iron ore and coal assets, including leading BHP’ s Americas division. He split the President Americas role into two in late June.
