Its primary mining operations are situated in the Salar de Atacama in Chile , one of the largest salt flats globally and a key source of lithium-rich brines . Allkem also operates the Mt Cattlin spodumene mine in Western Australia , one of the world ’ s largest hard rock lithium operations .
