Many fear we don ’ t yet know enough about the biodiversity of the seabed and what effect DSM could have on this unique and fragile ecosystem . This fear is compounded by the fact that many coastal communities depend on the ocean for their livelihood , and its disruption could have a negative impact on those relying on the fishing industries .”
